In order to avoid college, I had set into motion a plan in 1976. I took a month off after graduation then started my journey in the Army.  I retired from the Army in 2001 (My phone number ended in 2001) So that was the year I planned to retire and retired in Lawton, Oklahoma. (Home to Ft. Sill)

After retiring we opened up a few sub shops that bit the dust when the troops deployed to Iraq.

From there we moved out to Virginia. I started working at the University of Virginia in 2005. I work in the Environmental Sciences Department. WOW! Talk about science, these are the TOP dogs from the students all the way up to the Professors. With research being conducted on almost every continent. It is an awesome group and I am glade to be a small piece of it. Funny thing is I joined the Army to avoid college, and now I work at one.

I liked photography in HS and still do. But now instead of candid shot in the hallways or lunch room I am focusing on the UNDERWATER world. As you know almost 3/4 (71%) of the earth is under water. Almost nothing better than coming face to face with the life below sea level .
